Joseph L. Poole

Joseph Lorenzo Poole accepted Jesus Christ at a very early age along with acknowledging his calling to Ministry.  Under the leadership of his Pastor, Rev. Lee C. DeRamus he began ministerial training and was very active in other ministries at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Atco NJ.  But after several years and seeing the heavy weight and responsibility of Ministry he detoured and chose his own path.  After High School e joined the United States Marine Corps. Although during this time he did everything possible to ignore the calling on his life, the Destiny & Purpose that God placed in his heart would not be denied.  In 1990 he would rededicate his life to Christ and in August of 1991 Brother Poole Preached his Initial Sermon at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Darlington, SC and was licensed as a minister.  To his amazement Immediately God opened many doors and opportunities for him to share and spread the Gospel as an Evangelist not only throughout the country but overseas as well.  Minister Poole was later ordained as an Elder in May 1996 under the leadership of Apostle Dr. Jerlette Mickie. Presiding Prelate of New life Cathedral, Stafford, VA. God continued to use Elder Poole to edify the body Christ Through many different roles and opportunities. During this time Elder Poole served as Minister of Worship, Associate Pastor, Youth Pastor, Men’s Ministry Director and more.  While living in NY and working at St. John’s University Elder Poole Meet his soulmate and best friend Priscilla Baber and were soon married and joined at the hip ever since!  After Moving to NJ, the search for a Church home was a priority but a definite process.  During this time God Birthed MVP (Mentoring Vision Purpose) Ministries this was an avenue to minister through Mentoring, Martial Arts and Coaching. After Joining Resurrection Community Church under the Late Bishop Michael T. Tyson, Elder Poole was called to Pastor Breath of life Ministries in Trenton, NJ.  Later God directed Pastor Poole to Establish and open the doors to the ROCC Ministry (Restoration Outreach Community Church in Burlington NJ.  Pastor Poole is also a Police Chaplain for Burlington Police Department as well as for the 18th District in Philadelphia.  Pastor Poole has served as the Senior Pastor at Elmwood since December 2024! in addition to being a husband to the Love of his life Lady Priscilla Poole, a Father of Five, plus one son in law(love), and a Grandfather of Four. He has a Bachelor of Theology, Master of Divinity and is currently a Doctoral Candidate. Most importantly,, he Loves God!
